Today hospital care is too often about money and power than serving the health needs of patients and the community. “American Hospitals” examines the pernicious incentives driving health care’s astronomical pricing, its monopolistic practices and the pervasive inequities in access and treatment. The film identifies innovative solutions that deserve national attention to restore hospitals to their historic focus on community health at affordable cost.

Indivisible SOS Santa Fe is a group of 100 women who want to contribute to a more equitable, democratic and caring community and country. We range from political novices to life-long activists and share a desire to be well-informed and civically engaged.
We are a chapter of the national Indivisible organization, which gives us additional resources and a national presence. The “SOS” in our name stands for Speaking Out Sanely.

Within the framework of NOW’s mission, New Mexico NOW may undertake work in areas of specific urgency in New Mexico, such as reproductive justice, human trafficking, wage equality, immigration, gender identity, domestic violence and sexual violence, and marriage equality. Santa Fe NOW is a longtime, active member of the New Mexico Coalition for Choice. We engage in citizen lobbying on reproductive justice bills during each year’s New Mexico legislative session and participate in monthly Coalition meetings to develop policies and strategies for further access to abortion and the full range of reproductive health services for the women of New Mexico.
